Investigation, development and technology
The scientific investigation, the technological development and the innovation are a priority in Asturias for their influence in the competitiveness of the companies and in the creation of employment. The scientific offer relies on the University that covers most of the scientific disciplines whose activity is supplemented with the existence of investigation centers.
The technological and innovation offer is linked, mainly, to the investigation and the technological development, principally in technology transfer, technical advice and diffusion. Besides, entities like the FICYT, Foundation for the development in Asturias of the Applied Scientific Investigation and the Technology has as an objective to promote, to incentivate and to promote the activities directed to the scientific investigation applied in all the aspects of the economic and social life that can contribute to the development and improvement of the conditions of life of the Asturian community.
